There was an annual Japanese music performance at the talent show of Notre Dame High School with 1262 students at Sherman Oaks, CA on March 9, 2017.
Students who attended 3 to 5 hours of Japanese music workshops had a performance at their annual talent show.
This year, eight students attended for shamisen and three students and the Japanese Language Teacher, Mrs. Shoji attended taiko lessons. On the day of performance, four students played shamisen and two students and Mrs. Shoji played drums and percussion.
They have played part of “MATSURI” of Samon school followed by “KOCHO” dance performed by Rika Koyabu, Junior, with Madame Marifuji Bando. Rika took private lessons after school.
