Yamato Osho-sensei will visit Los Angeles first time since she became the 3rd head master of Yatogaku School.  We will have a luncheon with performances.

Yamatogaku is one of the modernized Japanese shamisen music that began in 1933.

Program:

Ame, Rain – One summer day when it is raining, a girl recalls the day when the hydrangea was blooming a year ago.  She goes to a shrine in the morning and wishes for her love to be fulfilled.

Kitsune,  A Fox –  This is a fairy tale.  A fox will buy a furisode and obi using coins of fallen leaves and go for wedding riding a horse.

Edo Matsuri, A Festival at Tokyo

Katada Kimisen & Co. will perform KAGE BAYASHI (percussion and sound effects)

Collaborations with Nagauta Shiki no Kai and Yamatogaku USA  Kimisen Katada & Co will play Hayashi (drums and sound effects)

Kabuki Style Music
