Three students achieved Natori (Accredited master’s degree) with Yamatogaku shamisen at Hie Jinja Shrine in Akasaka, Tokyo on April 7, 2023
Kyosho Yamato (AKA Mariko Watabe) had her three students granted their stage names from the headmaster of Yamatogaku on April 7, 2023.
They are:
Joseph Monticello, who lives in Miami, Florida, achieved the name of Yamato Josho (大和晟笙）
Carlos Coronado, who lives in Oxnard, California, achieved the name of Yamato Kyoichiro（大和杏一郎）
Travis Suzaka, who lives in New York, achieved the name of Yamato Kyojo (大和杏藤）
